On Tuesday January 21, 2014 the "Haida Watchmen" Search and Rescue Team conducted their first training run on the new Search and Rescue Vessel.
This was a run that allowed the Volunteer Haida Watchmen to begin getting familiar with the vessel and team members. On this run our second captain, Ted Peele volunteered to dawn the survival suit and hit the water. The video clip is a brief description of the purpose of this training run.
The Haida Watchmen Search and Rescue Team has been holding meetings, and has set up regularly scheduled monthly meetings and trainings that will help in the planning of, and procedures that will be crucial in the team's efforts to provide the best care and assistance it can for it's community, and others.
